Im haveing trouble getting my zenoah needled right its a fastrat 260 pum on my insane cat run great for two runs around the pond then dies,i no its to lean so i richen it up a hair then it sounde to rich chugs around then it still dies im going back and forth on the needle with no sucsess iv tryed a half dozen props with the pitch and diameter that was suggested but still no good any help would be great it sounds like its not getting fuel when i make a long plast then let off the throttle it stumbles. :(

What carb do you have on there? Should say on the side of it.

If its a 644, take it off and get a 257,

This cold water seems to make them act weird at times, i have had the same troubles at times this year, i run them alittle rich anyways.

With each prop change your needle will change slightly.

make sure your low end isnt to lean as well.

Run 2 turns out on the low and 1 out on the high, bring the high in from there. It will sound super rich on less than full throttle but once you get the high set it will run very fast. Rich on the lowend makes it start easier and stay running. Mine is 2 L 3/4 H. I have 3 257's on 3 different engines, this is how I set them all.

MIkes right on with needle settings.

2 on the low and 1 on the high.

If you dont have a 257 you need to get one.

and i run a IV bag for fuel bag.

Speeds, I havent really started for speed yet, Running boat and getting things set and dialed in and used to it.

My motors run great. one pull to start.

Dale,

Did juice get the same kind of engine? Hows his running?

i mean you could have dirt in the carb screen, you could have a leak in gas line, you could have leak in exhaust. I would do one thing at a time, check or replace gas lines, check orings on pipe and check and clean carb out.

I know i had a pinhole about 1 inch from carb on my fuel line, didnt know it untill i has moving it around and seen it squirt.

What kind of speed are you getting?

I did up a "speed" prop for the cat, will let you know what i get with it.

need to wait for smooth water tho.

course the Riggers getting my attn now.

getting that dialed in as well.
