While attending a race in Ottawa last year I was fortunate enough to win a Virginia Craftsman turn fin.

I placed the order and kind of forgot about it , well on Friday a package showed up at my door and when I opened it what I saw was nothing short of a work of art , it was my new Twin RR turn fin .

Just want to say thanks to Mr Tyndall for not only making such a quality piece but for also sponsoring the events that he does , it's because of people like **** that our hobby is so great.

I have been fortunate over the years to win many great prizes that are donated by people like **** , Walt Barney , Mark Shouland , Stu Barr and so many others that I hope they know just how much we appreciate what they do.

Thanks Tim kish

Tim,

The cool part is that each and every part that comes from **** shares the same quality and workmanship as the fin you have there. I've been ordering custom hardware from **** for years now and have never been less than amazed. What's truly amazing is that he continues to build quality parts and give them as prizes/sponsorship in spite of his injuries from a boating accident. I'm sure the many hours causes great pain from time to time and must be difficult with limited mobility. Truly a HUGE inspiration to all of us in this hobby. A great man if you ask me.

Ron

Thanks to everyone for all of the nice comments in this post. This hobby has given so much to me and has been a big part of my life. You can only take so much from something that has given you many years of pleasure before it is time to give something back. Help someone at the lake trying to get their boat to run better. Help out at the races ( they can ALWAYS use a hand ) when you're not running. If you are a manufacturer donate some items for clubs to raffle off at their races. It feels good to be able to give back something to this hobby that has been really good to me.

I am still catching up on making turn fins and brackets. I am not able to work many hours in the shop like I use to do, but I am able to get things done. Ron J, you should get your turn fins by the end of this week. I still have a lot of catching up to do around here, so I appreciate everyone hanging in there with me.

Thanks,

**** Tyndall

Dicks fins are like Carol Loebs cookies once you get one you want another. And I have not had the cookies yet. Maybe When my fin comes it will have cookies in it LOL

So ****, will you be accepting orders for scale boat fins and brackets?

Can anyone post a picture so I can see one of each?

Anyone have a scale tun fin not used I can buy right now, I had an order in a few months ago so I can replace it.

**** is backed up I guess, emails dont work on him.

please replace it if you do want it

Since we are all "showing the love" for **** Tyndall, here is an old pic from the early 90's. The Virginia Craftsman has always made quality products for year for our hobby. Thanks again ****.
