Two videos both of X hydro's, one of Mark Grim running a "practice run" at 117 mph and Don Maher running 116 mph just warming up.

Mark Grim:

Unfortunately we didn't get any footage of my X boat running, but she runs pretty good.

I'm not familiar with the letter designations used by NAMBA. What size engine is run in X class.

Thanks

X allows up to 30cc ... which would be twin .90's or if running a single big as commercially available. .90- 1.01 range

Glenn,

Yes it was the same as last yr, just a little more pitch in the prop. As it turned out that was the wrong thing to do. :(

You can see in the video the low-mid range was lacking.(takes to long to get on the pipe) I was just not quick enought to

stay up with the weather. It was 90 deg. & 10% humidity. B) HOT & DRY is very hard to make hp!! :p

Larry,

In NAMBA anything over .67ci or 11cc runs in the "X" class. Myself Mark & Tyler are useing the CMB 80 for power :D

Tyler,

Next time I will make sure to get video of your boat. (with your camcorder :p mine is way out dated :D )

Don :)

DON would you say in your opinion that the 80 motor is better than the 90 vac or the rs 101?

Leighton,

I would not say that one is better than another. It really depends on the application. In my case I think the 80 CMB gives the best hp,torque & rpm for my appilaction.

anyone have an update on how the SAW record runs are going?

Interested to see how Aaron Alberico is going.... B)
