Outboard Guys (Gals) could you please let me know if you have any relatively good condition broken flex shafts? i can only really use them if the square part has been spun off...

I need them for my FE tunnel which i have to cut the shafts down about and Inch anyway...so anything with less than an inch removed could be usefull :)

let me know

Kris

Kris,

You can order 20 foot lengths from Octura for about $30. Many diameters available.

You might want to check your local speedometer shop. The one in our town can do the 3.5`s, even the square ends. Seems that is a standard size for cars.

Kris,

Try contacting Flexible Drive Agencies in Sydney. They sell different sizes and types of flex cable.

Hope this helps.

Kris,

I thought you were an apprentice fitter & turner? Making the square end dies would be pretty easy for you I would think!. B) B)

Do you have access to a mill and a few pieces of steel about 10mm thick?
