What years did the Elam not have the Swim Deck. Has the front canard. Similar to the older T5?

What is the hull roster number for that boat also?

There have been three Elam hulls, the 9516, 0116 and the 1516(?), not counting the ill-fated four point design that failed to stay on the water and, subsequently, broke in half.

I know the 9516 DOES NOT have a swim deck on it, never has. I know this to be fact since I saw the boat Sunday before last at Lake Washington's Seafair races and race the 2000 in scale myself with the orange and white paint scheme.

The 0116 was built with one, verified on the video of the 2001 Seafair final heat. It still had one in 2004 at the Gold Cup in Detroit as shown in the video where it went over after riding up the Llumar's roostertail. It was still there when the boat burned in Doha so I can only assume it always had one.

The present 1516 hull has one as well since it was built with it.

I'll have to see what I have at home since I'm at work at the moment. Are you looking at doing the hull in white or the orange from 2000 like mine, pictured below?

Then you're looking at the 0116, with the swim platform, as shown below, since the 9516 never had a "flying canard", just what you see on my boat. Other than having the 787 Dreamliner paint job, the boat still looks just like what you see in the picture above

So all of the Elam boats with a front canard had swim decks?

To my knowledge the only Elam that didn't and still doesn't was the 9516 boat. I have pics of the 0116 from inception to retirement and it always had it.

Was just watching the 2007 Seafair Chevrolet Cup final on Youtube and, at roughly the 8:15 point in part 2, there's a shot of the 0116 Elam's transom, taken from off the left rear corner, if that helps

Consider yourself lucky in that there were only two orange boats. You could be dealing with the Squire, Executone or Budweisers where there were several different hulls to deal with. I know there were two different Squires running in 1978 and in the early 80s AT THE SAME RACES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There were three different Executones(7495, 8255 and 8408 hulls), and we don't even want to talk about all the various Bud hulls over the years
