i like it a simple scale hull with easy paint scheme and hopefully i can get one with a updated bottom and sponsons. Is the velasco hull glass or wood?

A Velasco is Glass Steve Peterson also makes a glass one. Both boats perform very well out of the box no mods needed.

what is the velasco hull going for ? I have seen one run and they are very fast . How much for the Peterson ? where do i get in contact with either one?

Or if your ambitious hull kit# SG110H on here http://www.rcboatcom...ScaleHulls.html

And Steve offer's a U-4 cowling. http://www.rcboatcompany.com/images/SG1300C_U-4_Charlies_Girl_Tri-Cities.jpg

The hull measurements fit the Master Hull Requirements for a 7704 hull, just grind the winglets off the back

And take it from me,,, the hull runs REAL well. Ron Ratoff just took first in the scale class at the CMB Fall Nat's

Velasco is great. However I am more than pleased with my Notre Dame that Steve at RC Boat Company does. It turned out to be quite a runner this year.

Who makes this hull in either fiberglass or wood. I need to get started on winter build.
You should snag the 8255 Dick Loeb is selling, knock the colors off it and do it up as the Oberto.

$475 no motor/pipe is a pretty darn good deal and you'll be on the water a heck of alot sooner. :) .

The Perterson Hull is a DPS Designed Hull. That won 2 IMPBA USA national 1/8 scale records . I sold Steve the molds to Gen One. Look out for Gen 2, coming to a pond near you in 2012. Doug Shepherd DPS Designs Madison,In

I have run my Velasco Charlies girl in UNW and RCU the last two seasons and have been very happy with the boat. I made no changes at all to the sponsons, I have a new hull ready to get all dolled up for the new year and just finished stripping the old one and going to make all the fixes from all the racing incidents that 50 plus races can do to a boat, and after the NW scale champs this laast weekend I think that the pics of he stuck thru the Budweiser speak for themselves about the strength and duribility of this hull. We pulled the 2 boats apart on the shore and If it was not for the fact it was the final heat I could have started the boat and went right back out on the water, unfortunately the same could not be said for the Bud.

Yeah that was ugly. Poor John Olson losing 2 brand new boats in one season. John could fix the Bud up good enough to turn it into a plug if nothing else. I've got one of the Velasco hulls that I'm turning into the 1980 Bud back up boat (full cowling so no fake motor) for next season and it is one nice peice of glass work. The layup is really clean with no air bubbles to speak of. It's almost like it had been bagged.

I have a new Bud hull on the way. Been working on the U-95 Gasser. See you all tonite at the UNW Banquet then next week at our R/C U Banquet, John
