Just heard that the U-25 lost control and went across the river to the KY side and ended up 40' up the bank and hit some trees. I have no other info but if you have ever been to Evansville, the river is really wide and the course is on the IN side. I have no idea how this could have happened. I will let you know as soon as I get more info.

The cable actually saved him from possibly going over the levee :eek: .

Footage on tv,steering broke coming out of corner and it headed to shore.He let out of it but had a head of steam so went on the bank.I will try to get a link to the local paper it has a nice color photo of the ruined sponson....Mikey
