I've had this problem for years with my .12s... Anyone know of a good turbo plug that will last more than a few tanks?

anthony,

what engine, nitro, compression, timing? i had that problem when i first started with .12 engines in boats with high nitro (stock timing and low head clearance) what i have done since is raised timing to 127-128 transfers and about 180-182 exhaust, most stock heads are the right size for this configuration and they run much better, the new novas that glenn sells are great right out of the box...another problem is most people run too much prop (load) on .12s and that causes the problem also, you have to let them run free or they will eat up plugs..hope this helps

I've had good luck in the past running Rossi #7 plugs as I've had some last an entire season and this was when I had the boat out a lot. These plugs as you've already found out aren't cheap, they were around $9.00 a pop when I bought them so I don't know what they're up to now. I''ll have to see if I have any left laying around as I no longier have any use for them.
