Tune pipe expander

What is everybody using too expand the tune to fit over the header, ie a 67 mac muffled pipe over a CMB 80 greenie header. Ps remember the Kinks, I'm on a low budget.

Get you a plumber's swaging tool, $21 on Amazon. Heat pipe with torch, expand very slowly by working inside on all sides with this. Check diameter every few turns for tight fit.

take your time and work it out very slowly so as not to tear the pipe. Each one I've done takes me about 45 minutes or so but the result is fantastic. No more burnt out couplers!

This pipe and header were the same diameter initially.

Plug the stinger end with a dowel, wrap with electrical tape, cap off the pressure fitting, fill completely with water plug the inlet and place in the freezer and watch closely. If left too long, it WILL split the pipe.

I use a series of sockets to expand the pipe.

Fill pipe ALMOST FULL plug each end a freeze the pipe

Too much water will rupture the pipe

That looks great. Mario do you run it without a coupler, is there no leakage?

^^^ No, i removed the coupler for the sake of the photo.
I still use a coupler over both the pipe and header. The wear and tear is incredibly minimal!
