TUBE SIZE???

I'm building a JF wildthing and it calls for a 1/4 tube for the 3/16 cable....doesnt this leave alot of play for the cable in the tube..I think a 7/32 fit the 3/16 snug....or does it bind the cable when it heats up? ...do I need to put a nylon tube along with the 3/16 cable inside the tube? What size/setup do you all use with a 3/16 cable drives? Any help would be greatly apprciated.

No that's correct. You use a strut bushing (brass piece in pic) to make up the gap between the shaft & tube.
