Triple rigger

Just saw the triple rigger pics from Shane on top of the forum. Looks great and very well built.

Shane can you tell us a bit more about it. Design, size, engines?

Hi Paul,
still a little way to go, hope to have the core build done by Christmas and then hardware fit out over summer here in Aus.
the basic profiles are inspired by my Slingshot rigger, but beyond that everything else will be different to suit the set up.
Sponsons will be a cross between the slingshot style inner profiles and KEPS 2010 outers, engines will be MAC 67's with AA 67 pipes,
Tub is 44" length, tub width is 9.2''

Back in the mid to late 80's someone had a red or orange Triple.45's at the Nats in Huntsville..

Don't remember how it ran though... I want to say it had 3 OPS .45's...???

I had twisted thoughts about 4- VAC .91 's . Not legal but would be a beast .

95 Winter Nats, someone (CRS?) ran a cat in offshore with 4 K&B outboards mounted on the rear. The steering and throttle linkage was a work of art.

The first triple I ever saw was a Pinckert Gator with trip Ops 60’s. I wasn’t even 10 years old. Lol. There were a couple of them . Running on solid mounts they had vibration problems that hurt fuel flow back then. Jeff Lutz
