Hi Guys!

try nickel metal 1800mah. i can leave my trans. on for about 4 days before it starts to give a warning tone. with a full charge.

just a thought.

Is there anything wrong with having and external battery pack and a cord to connect to your transmitters? One large pack on say your belt. Comments appreciated.

Regards Curt

Nothing wrong with that. One guy in our club use to do that with gell cells. 12v 3.5 ah

The only problem (and is easily remedied) is the balance of the radio in your hands. Just put something of the same weight into the battery section of the TX when using a remote pack.

Warlokboats,

Lets say I take 8 of the 1800mah batteries and put them in my JRX3. How many days would it take my JR charger to charge them up??

rcboats2,

I've heard some bad things about Ni-Me-Hy batteries and though I can't speak from experience, I would be leary to charge them with a standard radio charger through the radio. I think you're headed in the right direction by asking questions but do a lot of research before you go with those batteries. They are very good but they need a lot of TLC. In short, do your research. Maybe, get in contact with the Fast Electric guys???
