Trade in deal on a Ron Paris?

My local RC car shop takes in alot of trades and got a .21 Roadrunner with a nice looking Ron Paris Signature .21 in it.The price for me is very right but can I get parts for the motor ?One of the flunkees seems to think its a modded Picco P5 which is what it looks like but has Ron Paris engraved on the block near the mount.Any info would be appreciated on this motor or if parts are still available.I have not started it but it turns smooth and has good compression.Like I said they offered it to me for a very good price before it goes on the sale shelf.Thanks

Ron Paris did several motors. Both Novarossi and Picco

It's hard to say what you have without Pics.

If it's Novarossi, it shouldnt be any problem getting parts unless it's a square-stroke

It's probably not a modded P5 if it's in a rigger

I saw some Paris parts up for bid over on eBay so they might be worth looking into. They were under the R/C car engine area,

Its got a black wrinkle case with a large P on the side and a aluminum head and cooling ring.On the side of the flange for the motor to mount to its engraved with Ron Paris.

There's a buttload of old Picco stuff on Ebay recently...rods bearings etc. I dont know much about Picco parts compatibility between series. I'm sure some of the vets in here can help.

I still have a P-5 Paris offroad engine and there are important features in this motor made by Ron.The crankshaft ,the backplate ,the rod and the head are made by Paris for this engine and they can be compatible for boat aplication but not sure if still avaible in the market.

About Picco needless to say that no more engines and spare parts since last year!
