If I understood it right they got hit back in 99 too........
A large group of Joplin first responders are headed down.
OKC sent people up two years ago to help us out.
Take care all, Its a crazy weather pattern this summer.

You understood right Gene- I got offered a job in OK city early that year- glad I did not take it. Find it kinda hard to beleive no basements/storm shelters in schools there.

Evening news is say'n the children were instructed to go in "safe areas" of the schools,
Guess they werent figuring on a F4+ funnel.........
The F5 that hit Joplin high school took down the gym like a stack of cards (steel reinforced concrete and girders)

I received an email from a friend that lives in the OKC area. She was saying how the tornado jumped over the area she lives in and then wiped out the area she "hangs out". How does that saying go, "Don't mess with Mother Nature" as she'll always have the last word

OKC just got hit again, Airport closed, Passengers hiding in a tunnel at the terminal.........

We were in Oklahoma & West Arkansas delivering Equipment Yesterday to a natural gas pipe line crew...... All Tornado warnings were blaring and the Wind was High on the 540 turnpike. Oklahoma city had another Tornado on the ground about 5pm. We were barely east of there about 6pm it was Wild Weather!!! several trks turn over on I-40 due to high wind. This area was in a serious 50 year Drought this time last year. Rains and Storms every other day now??
