My build was going great on my SGX 21 until I hooked up fuel line and then set cowl on. You can see in the pic that there is a real tight kink in fuel line. How do I go about curing this problem without heating and making a bulge in the cowling?

Bob, you need the 90 degree fitting adapter. Just remove the 2 socket head bolts and remove the assembly with the straight fitting. Some guys on this site make them....
 
Thanks Rob, I will wait and see if anyone that makes them answers and if not I might have to see how my kids lathe works. :)

I had the same problem with a water line, I just used a peice of old brass tube from a gas tank kit I bought, then I used one of those handy dandy little DuBro tubing benders and bent a curve in the brass tube, slipped the 2 ends of the fuel line over the brass tube with 2 tiny zip ties, worked wonders. Just my .02

My .01. You tubing is too short. Make it a little longer, connect tubing to fitting and wrap 1" strarting from the fitting with cooper wire. Now you can bend tubing with small radius without kinking. Boris

If you look close the cowling is on the boat in the photo and it is what is putting the fuel line in a "bind". The cowling is clear.(My favorite color :lol: )

I ran my Eagle this way for a while but always thought that it might be hurting flow. I got a couple 90* spray bars from Brad Christy and run them currently.

To be honest I don't think it was a problem in the factory configuration.

rotate the carb a tad???
If I rotate then the throttle arm is in the road. I got a couple 90 degree fittings tonight on my way home from work. I will play around on the lathe and see whatI can come up with. Nothing to lose. If that don't work then I guess that I will get hold of Brad. If it works I will post a pic.

Zoomie has a banjo fitting

Hello Bob, Mikey is right. The Zoom line of carbs has a "Banjo" fuel fitting with an "O Ring" seal on both sides. Just loosen the banjo bolt and rotate the fitting to the best position for your application and GENTLY retighten the banjo bolt. :) :) :) Nothing to it.

Just cut it off and drill and tap it and put a 90 fitting in the hole . :D
That is my vote....old Kaboom elbows are the best for that.. Also use locktite:)
Were can you get a steady supply of those K&B bent (almost 90deg) fittings?

Anyone have a line on them?
I have no idea.. I just keep reusing the stash I have had for years. I tried to get some from MECOA and came up empty. Anybody who has an old stash of Kaboom stuff may have a few. They are like GOLD!
