Being new to electric do you run a thrust bearing on the prop shaft or will the motor take the thrust? How much gap are you leaving between the drive dog and the strut on a .150" cable on a rigger? What are you doing to keep the water out of the boat on the flex cable, are you just bushing the tube do so it is tighter on the flex and greasing the cable and shaft log?

Thanks

Brad

The only thrust bearing I use is one between the endbell and flex coupler on my UL-1 (P-Limited) inboard motors. Also, you want to keep about an 1/8" space between the strut and drivedog using a .150 sized cable. Rule of thumb: the space between your strut and drive dog should equal the thickness of your cable.
