I've got a speedmaster 90 rudder with a double water pickup. I bought it without water fittings. What is the tread size of the water fitting, i want to close one (need only one) and where can you get replacement fittings?

Tnx,

If it's 10/32 you can use a pressure fitting and a set screw for a plug. (grub screw) maybe s.s. for no rust.

Rodney tried to help me out by ordering the parts and ship them directly to me to the Netherlands but apparently McMaster won't ship to the Netherlands and his account was blocked (sorry for that). Can someone help me and let McMaster ship it to you and then ship it to me. Offcourse i'll pay the extra expenses. Thanks a lot.

You might try Tower Hobbies. Look up the Dubro manuf. page. They have the press. fitting plus many other hardware items, nuts, bolts, etc. Also you could maybe use epoxy to plug the water pickup in the blade by filling the hole and sanding it to shape when glue sets.

Same here I thought you were all taken care of or I would have offered sooner. I have the exact fitting Speedmaster uses and a plug in 10/32 made just for plugging up a 10/32 hole.Thought someone had them already didn't realize they were going to have to order them for you.

Paul, The picture of that 10/32 fitting and the 10/32 plug I posted, wouldn't that work for you? I have 10/32 setscrews also but they are hardened steel. I probably can scare up a 10/32 bolt or were you just going to use the bolt and setscrew to plug the extra fitting hole in the rudder? Wouldn't the plug I showed do that for you. I usually have bags of fittings but I use 5mm now that are 100% identical except of course they are 5mm instead of 10/32 those I have plenty of. The 10/32 I only have one or two of. I have gone to the 5mm because they don't break as easy. I just tap the rudder 5mm right in the 10/32 hole and they are much stronger because of the extra meat and having identical I.D. and also the exact same 1/4" hex and same exact barbs made by the same company.

I guess I must have sounded unhappy to help both times I posted. Lol. The phone call would probably cost more than the parts and shipping.
