This from Cathie, the executive secretary.

On another note, the electric proposals went in the mail this week with the newsletter. While the actual proposals say the entry deadline is earlier, the newsletter extends it until April 15. The proposals were already all printed ( at a cost of over $800) so we could not afford to reprint them just to change the voting deadline. Please help pass the word around about the extension.
A footnote: If you've got strong feelings about LSO, Sport Hydros, 19T or Offshore and are not a NAMBA member, you'd better join. Applications available online. You can fax your app in.

The deadline to vote is April 15.

Good poit Doug, It wasn't until the debate started last week that I remebered I hadn't paid my dues yet! I sent that check off fast.

Here's a question I haven't asked before. I also have my son as a Junior member since he's not 18. Can he vote too?

I can't find it in there.

I called Cathie.

Junior members have all rights except holding office, including the right to vote.

I just asked the twins and in their best 2 year old language they said "why yes Daddy, we grant you permission to vote for us by proxy".

Dick i don't think King County voting rules would apply here.

Are you kidding? If they did I wouldn't even have to ask the twins for their permission!

My daughter gets to vote. I usually ask her who or what she wants to vote for. She takes a quick look and then says who did you vote for. She goes with that. So I get 2 votes for an extra $35.

Every vote counts.

Last election year in District 9, Gary Crawford educated his girls on the voting process. There were three candidates running at the time. Gary's girls voted for another candidate rather than dad. No reflection on Dad. The girls voted for another female. No reflection on her being a female. She is a good friend of mine and would have made an excellant DD.

Those couple of votes may have been the difference because there was tie for DD in the district and a special election run off was necessary. Every vote counts.

You may have read a post I made the other day on IW on how people vote. Well, I am an example of that. All of the proposals with the explanations given would want people voting YES on all four proposals. They were written very well and are very convincing. I will have to search out opinions from my fellow FE boaters and see what would be best. Because I will vote even though I dont run FE.

The next two weeks I will be at district races. That could be more votes if the FE boaters who I talk to feel strongly about certain proposals. Oh how democracy and politics work. ;)

The age thing is creaping up on me Al. You know how that is, old man. :p I though I paid $35. Brain fart. Oh well, I still feel young. I will play with my toys until I die.
