I recieved word last night that a dear friend of mine passed away....no one on this site would know him, but i still felt compelled to post this....our friendship went back over 30 years..he and i ran boats together, but he never raced...but man, we would spend hours at a local pond racin and rubbin paint against each other with our HotShot tunnels usually till it was too dark to even see the boats! We also flew C/L combat, R/C planes, helis, and even R/C cars including Drag cars... he was one of those wizzbangs in electronics and developed a timing system so we could hold organized R/C drag races...people would come from hundreds of miles with thier little R/C drag cars just just to compete on a Sunday afternoon with friends and family. We had so many great times together that i dont know how our wives put up with us....he was an air Air Force veteran, he was a good man...his name was Rick Merrill and he was my friend.....Godspeed ol buddy...i hope your flying your Ultralight up in heaven. As aware as i am that this is all a part of life that we have to accept, i am still devasted...

Sorry to hear that Bill, it matters not that we knew him here or not- you knew and respected him enough to tell us about him , thats all that matters.

Once again, sorry for the loss of your friend - Remember one thing , you have as many here that feel the same way about you ;)

Tom, you have nothing to be sorry about...I thank you for the kind words my friend...you are right about friends and family..at least in this world. If I wasnt so busy with my family, id be spending more time with my friends like you....

Well Im kinda hoping Foleys offer still stands for Georganna and I to come out when Kaytlin comes to town this summer - looking like 7/11 to 7-25 range-

I would LOVE for Kaytlin to get a chance to see you as well Bill- she adores you and Foley ;) ;) ;) Its way too cute hearing her say hey Foley or Hey Windex- LMAO , I trained her well

Andy, i REALLY hope to get to see the "cutest lil rocketeer around" along with the resta yas...maybe we could get out to the TTRA launch about that time....i know it'll be hot, but HEY thats why God made coolers-n-ice! :)
