Thanks to all at the IMPBA Internats for making me feel welcome and all the help and support from the guys there... Way to many to mention but must thank Ron and Eric Olson for being in the pits for me, the Ford Model Boaat Club (even if I am a GM Man), GrimRacer (can I call you Mr Grim??), Ernie and company (That man has an enterage!!!) and anyone else I forgot... THANKS!!!!!

Tennessee next year??? if I can get a few more Aussies into it to share the expenses I will be back..

Ian, Tim... you guys listening???? I think LA and Tennessee sounds like the plan... when too much racing is barely enough!!!

EMS Racing Worldwide inc.

Craig,

I'm hearing ya! I am saving the money right now!! Dont have many boats, but that is another matter!

Is Tennessee the IMPBA or NAMBA nats? You have been to both, which should we look to do?

Nitrocrazed racing: Middle and eastern states of Australia...

It will be the IMPBA Internats. A decision should be coming in the next few days on if Jackson, TN will be the site but it does look favorable. If things are finalized for the site and date, we won't have to listen to NAMBA bitching about us stepping on their party like we heard for this one.

Save your pennies or whatever you have Down Under. Eric and I are thinking of hitting it too. I'll bring some real Beer the next time!

Wet Paint Racing: Hang-overs and loud pipes don't mix!

I'd love to go too - have to convince the boat hating other half though and that could be tricky

Jackson, TN huh?

Hmmmm......700 miles.....11 hour drive.........that's do-able!

Propjockey Racing.....I can FIND some Bundaberg!

hey craig how did you enjoy the molson ice we were drinking after the banquet and also how was your drive the next day?

Ian,

NAMBA is racing at L.A. Then IMPBA at Tennessee we think.

If you are going to go that far and you can do two races, do it!! lets face it you want to spend 3 weeks in the US to make it worth while and with 3 or 4 or more travelling the cost comes down!!!

I loved the IMPBA nats and it is closer to our style of racing (points for buoy cuts, not lap penalties).

But work on doing both!!!!!

EMS Racing is there a Canadian Nationals too????

Yes, Craig they do. It's called the Nothern Nationals held at the Thames Valley site. You take I-94 through Detroit and keep heading east into Canada. It's right along side of the Highway a few hours down the road. There were some flyers around at the Internats, one on the standings board.

Wet Paint Racing: Back to putting things together.

Craig,

Both NAMBA and IMPBA nats would be good! However I did hear that my radio tabs on the mono are not legal in NAMBA. :- I wonder how much interest there is from other Aussies for the trip? ???

Nitrocrazed racing: How about a NZ nats??

What??? Radio Tabs illegal??? I dont think so....

Where did you get that from???

OH and yes I have A100s in stock.

EMS Racing Is my square bottom mono strut legal on surface drive??? LOL

What is a radio tab?

Flat bottom struts are supposed to be illegal on mono's but it's only legal if nobody looks for it. ;D

Keep us updated on where you are. If you come back on I-94 heading back to Chicago, give me a call so that we can hook up again before you head back to Oz.

Wet Paint Racing: Back to putting more stuff together, this time it's a new Grill and Lawnmower!

Craig,

I saw it on another forum. Any NAMBA members here who can comment?

I may be trying the old A100 in a new hull soon, just for a test. If it works like I hope I may be needing another...

Dont brint a flat bottom strut on a mono to our nats at Chrissy!

Ron,

Radio tabs are trim tabs on mono's that can be moved via a 3rd channel. That way the trim of a boat can be altered as you drive for changing water conditions and fuel loads. Also you can do clever things like mix the tabs with the steering... ;D But it is a complex system that takes a bit of development to get it right, and they can be a bit fragile in a flip.

Nitrocrazed racing: Seaducers aren't the only boats that can run with no tabs...
