hey it works..... i got my digital camera to connect to my suse linux box and then posted a picture off it. It is a picture of my FireFighter .21 on it's first day out. The new engine was VERY tight and gave me some problems. The boat performes flawlessly Perfect ride attitude. No performance/speed measurements yet as the engine was very unreliable.

I was supposed to go out in the morning but...... i need to finish my bathroom

pipe has been modified..... look closely..... side stinger..... it is quieter than a CMD pipe!

Hi Tom,

The boat looks nice. I am interested in the way that you have mounted your turn fin. It looks similar to the "hawk" type of mounting. Can you divulge any information on your turn fin mounting?

it's pretty simmilar I guess to a Hawk. The sponson construction is totally different though. I made like 1/2 a dozen differently constructed sponsons untill I came up with the easiest to build/best method for the firefighter kits. The Hawk is a built up balsa and plywood, The FireFighter is a Blasa/foam/plywood sandwich construction. The spar location in a hawk is center sponson, The FireFighter is on the inside.

PS Garret..... I got the green before you had declared green as your official color..... or at least before I knew it was....

just two questions for you, what kind of camera do you have, and what distro of linux are you running?

I know that mandrake 9 isn't thrilled by my camera, but if i um lets just say adjust the case properly i can get them to talk long enough to get my pics

I have played with linux a lot.... i know nothing about the command line.....

so far ive tried:

red hat 8-9

mandrake 6,7,8,9

lycoris

corel

knoppix

and currently.... my favorite suse 8.2 ftp installed not too hard....

my camera is a fuiji finepix 3800.... i just hook it up usb, turn it on and it shows up with an icon on my desktop like a mounted drive. totally automatically.... i did not have to do a thing.... browse the "drive" copy the pic location and paste it to konqueror/iwaters forum and wala!
