Well i went out to test my new 90 screaming eagle today with a new Cmb 100 EVO the boat was out of the water more than in and did not flip over in the corners an man that water was rough when i got to the pond i almost left but decided to try anyway since i was there.

I am very happy with the performance and handling in extreme rough water i will try to get some action pics next time we go out and video.

Here are some pics of the boat paint work not finished yet.

Mike

Hey Mike

I was just wondering where you were testing I was thinking

of trying Beamsville this week but not to sure how muddy it will be.

Rodney the motor is a stock 1'' CMB, I used the prop of my 67 for the first time out in rough water it's a 1465 prop.

Tim i went to frenchmans bay it's close to me and there's no yacht's in the water yet , Went out yesterday to test again but iwas so busy i forgot my radio at the shop so we didn't run oooooopppppppssssss.

Were going to try today if the weather stay's good and we will vidio tape and get some action shots.

Rodney thanks for the compliment on the Screaming Eagle if you want to see more go to the website.

We went out to do some set up tests with the 90 Screaming Eagle NTX today again i have some vedio i hope it comes up on this page.

We had a small problem the third time out the solder push rod end failed for the rudder servo.

The the motor is a new CMB 1" we set the needle AT 5 1/2 turns out and the pipe length at 12" ,The strut was at 3 to 4 degree's neg AND 50% NITRO the boat's top speed of the day was 85.9 MPH with gps.

There is alot more in this boat just as soon as we get it all set up and start to lean on the motor.

Has anybody checked out the vedio on this thread if you have let me know what you think.

I checked the strut angle last night and it must have moved it was at 5 degree's neg .

With the solder end breaking for the rudder and the strut angle this my have caused the crash.

When we brought the boat back in the only damage was the solder end that broke before the crash since i lost steering.

Go to www.phmracing.com go to links go to Osawa boat club and go to vedio's click on the blue rigger thumbnail and let me know what you think.

Thanks Mike

Mike,

That's got to be so damn frustrating to have the solder cause a bad day at the pond. I've gotten so frustrated with soldering that I've pretty much gone over to using 100% threaded rods simply to eliminate just that problem. Now I don't worry about solder releaing on me.

Rodney it wasn't the solder that let go it was the link it self that broke one side came right off the side with the pin that goes threw the servo

These pics are posted for Bob Morten (Wizard) here is were we put the gps in this boat hope this helps you,

Mike

Mike,

I watched the video of the boat. What prop were you using? The strut needs

to be leveled quite a bit to get rid of the hop. I think a 1667 or H-50 will work

much better on that boat. Otherwise 85+ MPH with all that hop isn't too bad. I

think with a little prop work the 90's will be NO PROBLEM Mike.

Thanks, B)

Peter,

The next 15 MPH is the toughest. It looks very promising though. I can't

wait to get my 21, it should go just about that fast. Just want to tell a few

of you boaters, that Mike has an AWESOME DESIGN HERE. I will be carrying

them on my web site also.http://www.props4u.com/

Thanks, :)
