Guess it is some big secret they dont want anyone to know
I'll just say that they had a club vote and the result had further reaching implications than they anticipated.

Any member of the Tampa Model Boaters can/could chime in here and explain it all...

I, we them, "The Club" ,(whoever); are NOT going to discuss Club business on the Internet. To answer the question of the Tampa Club's staus of it's web presence we own two other domains, have a host and a webmaster. As far as how long it will take to build a new site, I have no clue that will depend on how much spare time this person has.

Thanks For Asking Drive Safely :)

FYI

The Tampa Model Boat Club is active. There is no change in the club status at all. Actually the club is growing by leaps and bounds and we believe that we have one of the best pond sites around. Look for additional photos and info as we get the website updated.

Only thing that has changed is the web address for the club. We have gone back to the old URL for the club at: http://tampa-model-boat-club.com. You can enter races here as well as find additional info about the club and surrounding amenities.

OK sorry about bringing this whole thing up, just wanted to enter a race in OCT? thought a race was during that month. I have tried to get back into this hobby but find it VERY difficult compared to other RC hobbies. Engines, boats and the lack of support from local Hobby shops, most items you have to buy online. Find a engine that you dont have to take apart and work on to make it run well, pay 400-500 dollars for a .21 size engine crazy.

I find people are out for there own well being only, they care for themselves and not just having a fun time with others who enjoy the same hobby.

WTF a web domain cost a couple bucks a month get over it. Anyone care to shot some doves this fall? just drop me a email. Its easier to own a gun and good then play with these dam boats

Thanks

Okay Thomas , as much as I should just let his thread die - I am going to ask you a question-

Have you ever attended a race at the Tampa club?

or the Brandon club for that matter ????

Because the statement I quoted from you- leads me to believe you have not....

Just asking.. :(

BTW- Doves are too gamey for me- lets hook up and go Snook fishing instead ;)

Come out, see what the club has to offer , you may be pleasantly surprised.

Look forward to meeting you. B)

Your right Marty Tampa does have the finest lake in our district great lake to race on and close to everthing.

Yes I have been to both lakes for this past year. was at the first race at TBMB. Been at the lake just last friday for the whole day. Had it all to myself all day. was trying to enter hydro at last dover race but was beat out by other class of boats that I cant seem to find in the rule book.As for snook they live out back around my dock and are very shotgun shy, Camo seems to upset the neighbors at night when I hunt them ( the Fish) that is. But thanks for the invite.

Andy, Tom is a member of TBMBC :)

Tom; I feel your pain. Engines do cost a lot, and I have thought many times about going back to shooting but I am too deep in this hobby to switch now :) See you at the lake!

Thomas:

Shooting (at) doves was one of the most fun things that I have done over the years. When I lived in Georgia, we went a lot. It was a good day whan you got 2 or 3 birds in a box of shells. They are VERY difficult to hit.

Ok guys thanks for letting me vent, I do love this hobby but more important is the stewardship you give to the hobby. That means different things to different people but having a good time with the others that enjoy the same should be the reason for a hobby

Thanks again

PS

Yes the lake is great and the owner/owners are good folks.
