Anyone have a problem with runout on their flex hex? Mine is way out of spec. but I didn't realize that until it took out the stuff tube through the radio box. Hmm the steering swerbo don't work no more!! Must be radio in the water box. The hex meets the corresponding flywheel and the O.D. of the flex is maybe .020 bigger then the I.D. in the flywheel. This allong with the fact that the threads in the flex hex are recessed about 1/16" means WOBBLE. So I put a washer under there and the washer tuliped. So I shimed it so it was flush and then the crank threads broke because it was only threading on 2 turns!! Any sugestions? I want to grind the hex till the threads are at the surface but I have no way to insure round. There are not enough crank threads showing to put a big washer on. Thanks guys!!

Looks like you should shorten the flywheel and expose more of the crank. Maybe get yourself another collet as well.

Na, it is a Sirio .15 with a "standard" threaded crank. There is a shoulder that is about 7mm and the 5mm collet hits that first. If the collet went over it the whole way though, the flywheel would hit the carb. I think that I am going to try to drill out the collet to 7mm about 1/8" deep and see if that cures my woes.

If that is the octura flywheel I had to grind the back of mine down. I ground it down until I was half way through the two holes that are in the back rim.
