Was running my 21 rigger to day and things just were not working out the same as before. Was over on the dock doing some reading on a gas rigger. He was complaining it would not run the same after a crash. Well it came down to the strut was bent. So I checked out my rigger and low and behold .If I ran a strait edge down the side of the tub the strut was running on a angle. Took every thing off and found the strut bracket had sunk into the bulkhead. Hope the next time out will be better. Going to make a bracket with a bigger foot print on the bulkhead. Had carbon fiber reinforced the bulkhead but it did not work. Just thought I would share.

Take all the hardware off of the transom, block sand it down to remove paint being sure to square everything up. Then epoxy a .060" thick piece of Garolite (G10) cut/sanded to match the transom outline and the problem will stop. :)

Tom the twin 90 Roadrunner that you got from me has this done to both the inside and outside transom bulkhead faces. :)

Don where did you find the Garolite at a cheap price I was looking and its $41 pre .62 sheet but you had to have minimum purchase of 250.00 .....at one place

Another way to keep the transom from crushing:

It's kind of like an ICBM at a NORAD base .....you only use it when you need to !! :D

Tom:

I am designing a new Twin 67 for Bill Gibson and need to know how much fuel you have in your twin in each tank.
OOPPS! The cats out of the bag! Hide the women and children..heaven help us! Gibson's gonna try to run a twin!!!Thank God for Marty!

Tom

Bet you are liking the fuel cost with the 21. Run all weekend testing and still have some of the gallon left for next weekend. ;) Much better than the ICBM Don't have to spend NORAD's budget to run it.

You're going to break up a good friendly buddyship with that boat ...the WAR is ON NOW !!!!  I think it's 16 oz per tank ...i'll get you the dimensions of the tank ...the 67's eat just about as much as the 84's

Ran the boat today and The strut fix made a big difference. Put a piece of phenolic board on the transom. Turning a AB prepped H5 real nice.

David

Would styrene do the same as the garolite g10 or be somethin that will work to use on the transom ?
