What is the recommended torque for a steering servo for a TS-2 or similiar tunnel?? I need to figure out what size servo I'll be using so I can complete the configuration of my radio box on the FE conversion I'm doing...

If it makes a difference, it will be an REK Lower leg with a brushless motor... upper 30's to low 40's anticipated speeds...

Thanks!

Hitec HS-645MG is probably the most common. No need for anything bigger than a standard sized servo but metal gears and High torque is a must!

Same as Tim says i also use in my TS2 a HS-645mg servo for my steering.

Works well for me never had a problem

Thanks guys... I have a servo similiar to this that I'll use for this project, so now I know what torque range I need... The one I have is just slightly less.. (about 110oz torque @6V), but it is BB w/ metal gears... so I think it should work...

I'll get a couple of 645s on order...

110 oz. torque will be more than adequate.

Darin,

I am going away fro the 645's due to them getting alot of slack in them after a little time and also getting glitches real easy.

Just thought I would let you know...I now use a 9645 ;)
