Hi fellas,

I am looking to start breaking in my .12 (3 port) today. I will be running Glenn's Texan pipe. Can some one give me a number for the pipe length to start with? I would also appreciate a suggestion on a starting prop. This will be on a conventional style rigger.

thanks,

Mike

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the reply. I will be running a Lighting rigger also. How do you like yours?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, I set my pipe at about 2" measured from the side of the head straight back to the weld. I have found that 1440's are a good place to start and tweak from there.

Mike,

Start with 7" and try to get down to 6.5".

You need to buzz these little motors to get the performance out of them.

40 x 53 with a V-cut notch in the trailing edge or a 1440 the same way.

Stay under 38mm and it will work very well. 2.73" of cup is the ticket on the

above mentioned propellers. 50 MPH to 60 MPH and you will be doing very well.

The little motors like 66% fuel and plenty of it with no water to the head. The fuel

will cool the motor.

Thanks For Reading,

Mark Sholund
