Hello everyone,

My name is Marc Gagnon, I used to be part of a boat club some 15 years ago in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Now I live in Cornwall, Ontario and some local members of the flying club and I are geting into boats.... 4 of us have purchase Miss Vegas Nitro's and are starting a new club.... My question is this, at my Ottawa club we had a 2 minute automated start clock for racing and I am looking for resources to build one for the Cornwall club.... I have seen pictures but no plans... anybody have access to design/contruction plans for one of these ( preferably with light and horn )

Thanks....

You can contact the IMPBA secretary John Equi he has plans for an analog start clock that works well although alot of the clubs are using an audio clock to start races now since it is on a CD and you can bring it out for practice very easily. Allan Hoyle has those CD's available and he has 2 tracks one with the full clock count down and the second track just has the last 30 second count down. John's email is [email protected] or his phone number is 256-536-7957 Allan's e-mail is [email protected]

Hope this helps you out.

Marc.

I have one for sale if you're interested. Comes with the floating base. All you need is a 12 volt battery. You couldn't even start to build one for what our club is asking for it.

Any clue as to where one can download the audio files to make the audio clock as mentioned before....

Thanks

Marc

Or give a call to Allen Hoyle as I mentioned earlier. He has a very good audio clock with the 2 different tracks. For the first minute it counts down by 10 seconds then for the second minute it counts down by 5 second intervals and then the final 30 seconds is a one second count down.

Any clue as to where one can download the audio files to make the audio clock as mentioned before....
Thanks

Marc

You can download it from the NAMBA District 7 site: http://www.namba7.com/districtrules.htm

Thank you every one for your input...

We will give the audio clock a try .....

Thanks again
