What is out there for 7.5cc inboard engines guy's? I am starting to look for an engine for a sport 40 hydro.

I sure wish Novarossi would make a 7.5cc addition of the 5 or 7 port engines.

Well, you could support Al Hobbs with an AA45. I'm running one in my Mutt sport 40 and it runs better than the CMB RS that was in it, not to mention, easier to work on.

Or, go CMB RS or CMB HR or OPS? Not sure if there is much else to choose from, at least new engines anyway.....

Hello Mark, here in the USA there is Picco, AA-45, CMB .45 vac, and CMB RS 45. If you decide on a CMB, Steve Wood is a dealer for them, and can set bowl volume etc. Steves number is 319-752-4482. Hope to see you at the pond yet this season. Richard D

Hey Mark,

Have you been taking spelling lessons from misshydro? You might want to spell check your signature. What hull are you going to build?

Hey don't make me drive up there and jump up on a stool to kick your @ZZ. :p :D

I think I am going to go with a PT Super Sport 40 hull. I realy do not want to run a CMB engine. Is a Axe Rossi any good? I do like the AA45 with the slanted rotor housing. That may be the way I go.

I think you want to consider the vac45 by CMB I hear its a monster

From what I have seen., the machining on hte AA45 is excellent. Service from Al Hobbs is simply unbelievable. Of course I still have my 10 or so MAC45's, though one has an AA45 inline back door.

Be nice to it and talk to it after every race and it will last years. I ran a Picco 45 Blackhead 6 years with only bearings. This was in a sport 40 not a rpm sucking hydro or water eating mono. Corrosion x is your friend

And a year from now if I need a Piston and sleeve for it they will have changed the size of then.
piston and sleeve has been the same for the cmb 45's(all) for many years. the new vac has changed though, different bore/stroke.

stu said the vac has more power than any 45 he has ever seen
