Looks good Allan. I would recommend, NO water cooling and no cowling during the break in of the motor. Remember, if you ever blow a glow plug, then you are TOO LEAN.

I ran my test boat with new NR21 DD at pond today. I can't believe about it is freak fast and flew so I must turn little down ( not full trottle ) I say thanks to Glenn Q

Bet your glad you never sold it now! What do you mean you had to back off a bit cause it was going too fast? Is there such a thing as "too fast"? Tame it and then tear the lake up!!!!!!

The sponsons are giving too much lift for the set up. Doug and I watched from the CD stand as it seemed to be the only safe place. Allan had boats doing back flips, 360 spins and nose dives. Unfortunatly all within 5' of shore. As always no boat or person is safe when he's on the water.

Now that I think about it I seem to remember that you broke off the turn fin we you whacked my nitrogen, can't you glue or repair that stuff?
I lost turn fin into the pond so I built custom front sponsons with Andy Brown turn fin 21 I seem good working but carbon rod solid .250" boom are little soft " Like like air hopper Crazy fast

I noticed one thing also on the pictures look at your drive dog its like very close to the strut might want to put alittle distance once it bites the water it will compress and bind with the strut itself. Allan there not custom front sponsons ok there the front sponsons from a Blackbird G2 that chris wood makes.

Jose,

I hate to tell you and others this you only need the thickness of a machinist

Rule between the strut and drive dog. The cable wrap up is a bunch of BS !!!

Have you ever tested different spacing yet? Do yourself a favor and do more

Testing, it is amazing how much you learn every time you go out to the lake.

Enjoy The Testing,

Mark Sholund

i do go out to the lake and test it was just an observation i have seen alot of boaters leave spacing between the strut and the drive dog. I have also seen some drive dogs make contact with the struts when they come back to the dock they can see some odvious contact between both.

I know what i do works for me i dont need anyone to tell me to go test.

Happy Boating Mr Sholund

Jose,

Sorry you took it the wrong way.

I was just trying to be helpful.

A lot of boaters set up too much spacing that is all.

Enjoy,

Mark Sholund

Allan,

A little too much angle of attack on those G-2 sponsons for Frank's tub.

If you have some road runner sponsons laying around they would be a better choice.
