yes many welding shops have 1/8 tig rods. You can cut to length and taper the ends to get a 6/32 die onto the end of it .Thread the rod ends 6/32 also

Where can I get the titanium rods? Can you thread them ?

D
Thy come treaded already one end is revers threads.

Thy come in many different lengths. I set up my steering servo placement around the length rod I use.

Check any big hobby shop will have them.

Central Hobbies has 5" Hanger 9 titanium turnbuckles but they are 440. Their carbon fiber push rods with the titanium ends would work well for your application.

David,

Go to Lowes and buy #6 cold rolled steel rods. You can use 6/32 die and tread them yourself. Thats what I am using for my gas tunnel and they work great and are not expensive at all. Get the #6 extra heavy duty ball links for both ends and you are all set.
