any of us that work on cars for a living, this is for you. i'm sure boats & heavy equipment suffer the same issues with "critter damage" to wiring, plastic fuel & vacuum lines, & nests in the vehicle. honda has issued a service bulliten with a part # for rodent deterrent tape. the bulliten # is A10080B dated aug. 2010. the tape part # to order through a honda or acura dealer is 4019-2317. i work at a country service station now, lots of ag related customers, lots of critter damage to go with it. this tape has really cured some repetitive issues for me. wraps like regular electrical tape, easy to use.

Hey Robin, In the 1980's I bought a friends 1970 442- it had been sitting in his back yard for over a year. He bought a new battery and it would not start. Pulled the top off the air filter and it was full of dog food    . Car ran fine after we dumped that out    .Glenn

Seen plenty of this critters will eat anything,my mother in law bought some squirrel spray to put under the hood of her car. I had to replace the engine wiring harness, not enough left to repair. Had a truck pulled in 3 times over a year, neighbors dog loved to lay under his truck and chew on everything

I have seen my share of that too- rats and tree rats love plastic .....

Sounds like neat stuff- just remember not to tear it off with your teeth

ive heard about this robin,,,,,,, whats the deal with this stuff,,, i have yet to use it... i had a 98 monte in about 2 months ago... 2-4 mis.... pulled the plenum and bingo nice big nest between 2 and 4 injectors.... chewed through them little wires quick like.... the guy was amazed they did the wire damage in one night,,as the previous day it had no miss............. wouldnt put anything past them little buggers... ive seen my fair share..... one other one i saw was the little buggers chewed a hole through an air filter... well when she got on the throttle to pass sombody.. it pulled a hollowed out acorn shell up the intake pipe and she let off at just the right time.. it jammed the throttle body at 1/4 throttle....... ... luckily it was only 1/4 and she was able to make a concious decision and kill the ignition...
