Hull includes the following new items:
Don McKay cowl
Walt Barney stainless steel tank
Speedmaster Rudder
Aeromarine motor mount drilled and tapped for CMB-67
Top Secret Strut modified
Mike Hughes turn fin and mount
Phil Thomas Cockpit and driver
Wooden radio Box with servo mounts
Full set of Znetix graphics from Jim Geiger
Pushrods and vertical rods with transom mount block
This hull is approximately 90% finished with the following items completed:
• Motor mount installed
• Strut modified and installed through tub
• Rudder mounted and push rod hole aligned
• Vertical supports transom block machined and fitted with polished support rods
• Verticals and horizontal were fitted and mounted
• Shaft log and stuffing tube installed
• Plywood radio box completed and sealed with aluminium steering servo mount and wooden mounts for throttle and 3rd channel installed
• Vertical aluminium mounts installed
• Canards have been hinged and a locking tie rod system installed
• 1 additional coat of sandable primer was sprayed
• Bottom of hull has been painted white but has been scuff sanded as I am unhappy with the finish
• To fit the McKay cowl the hull was modified and cedar formers added to cut line for cowl
• Right side rail pocket opened up to accept the Walt Barney SS tank
• Tub was reinforced with carbon fibre in stress areas
Hull needs final finishing, paint, install graphics and clear coat. I have lost interest in this project and would like to move on rather than finish it. $750 plus buyer pays shipping costs. I will be at the 2008 Internats in Evansville and will have the boat for sale there for your review or pick up.
I also have an unopened pint of PPG concept Peacock Green available, as well as Hitec HS85MG’s and digital HS5955 steering servo available for extra cost if desired. More pictures available if needed. Contact me at [email protected] if interested.
