My CMB redhead takes the short glow plugs. The guy who sold it to me looks like he obviously put a long plug into it because of the ringlet like impression of the plug left on the top of the piston.

Can you get a button to convert it to a long plug?? or is it safe to run two or three washers on a long plug to shorten it up with out it leaking air??

Surely that can't be a stock CMB head. The factory heads are always for longreach plugs as far as I know.

Corky Daley is an engine mod man in the Dallas area. Has been around nitro motors A LONG TIME. Most people like his work. He was one heck of a racer for years and could drive with the best of them. I would think his knowledge in this hobby could be trusted.

Roddney I've had two Red Head CMB,s 21, and both used long plug..Maybe the head button was milled down, and short plugs had to be used...you can use extra washers but I wouldn't recomend it...You might try to tighten it too much and strip the thread in the head button....Let me check and see if I have one...
