Ok so im reading that you can use a Solinger SG flywheel on a pilot shaft engine...It says this...

Use this flywheel to convert your R/C car or

buggy engine (using the SG crankshaft) for marine use.

This flywheel kit will adapt any air-cooled .12, .15,

.18, .20, .21 & .28 car motor with an SG crank

and 7MM front shaft to marine use

On an engine like lets say this one....

Will the remaining threads fit a regular .21 sized collet?

Anyone have any experience with this or other SG shaft engines like the Nova Rossi?

You can use a dremel tool with a cut off wheel to cut the crank, just up to the threads. The threads are 1/4x28 on all the crankshafts i have ever converted. You should be able to use Octura or Aeromarine collet with 1/4x28 threads. Novarossi or CMB .21/.45 collets come to mind. Make sure you do not cut off the threads, when cutting the crank, or the crank will be useless. Richard D
