I AM IN THE PROCESS OF BUILDING A SD3 45 WITH A MAC 45 WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING WITH THE CARBY ARE YOU CUTTING A HOLE IN THE DECK SO THERE IS A GAP BETWEEN THE CARBY AND THE DECK OR JUST LET THE CARBY TOUCH THE UNDERSIDE OF THE DECK

Have you got the original Seaducer engine mounts? If you have you should be able to get the engine low enough in the boat so the carb is well clear of the deck. The rail side of the Seaducer mounts should almost be touching the hull.

If you havent got those mounts try making yor own with 'L' shaped aluminium. The motor should mount on the inside of the 'L' You need to try to drop the engine as low as possible so there is just enough room to get a belt under the flywheel.

The 45 mono should have the drop down motor mount this problem will not exist what hardware have you got...

I have all the hardware you need for the seaducer 45 in stock

I have an sd3 seaducer with a mac 45, carb doesnt touch the deck, but its well hidden, has the dropdown mounts in it as well. I cut a hole over the carb in the deck to put the after run oil in as its almost an impossibility without it, then tape the hole up when running, works well......
