Can anyone give any feedback on the new Schulze Future-xl-40.160WK vs. the previous version 40.160WK with the full copper plate on the underside? Schulze replied to me that "the new one does not have the solid copper plate, but the surface of the pc-board is larger so the heat distribution is also good". I'd like to know if anyone has run the new version and if it is as tough and durable as the older one is?

Don, I have the new style 40-160 in the set up we have been discussing, I did have it thermal once (heat shutdown) it may have been because it was setting in the sun. Pulling 150 to 180 amps on 6s2p.

Take a look at the Sordfish 240 from OffshoreElectrics.com it also has the D2pak fets that distribute heat more evenly across the board. I haven't run it on the 6s setup yet. I am, sofar, as impessed with the 240 as I am with the 120 amp version.
