To the boater in Las Vegas that asked me about scaling up the JAE .12 boat for a .45 boat.

I gave you the wrong information....call me for the correct info..

hey just curious how hard would it be to scale the plans up to a gasser with a 5'' tub im sure theres more to it then just blowing up the plans

You are right ,there is a bit more to it for a gas boat.....but,as we speak, the preliminary plans for a gasser/twin are already done.

David said the twin boat and gas boat will probably be very close to the same size.

After Hobart we will know more and should be able to start on building a gas and twin boat for testing.

Rod,

I have scaled the 12 plans up to the 21 and 45 without any trouble.

They are in the building stages now. With the speed and handling of the

12,21,& 45 who would need anymore? :D

Thanks,

Mark Sholund

Mark,

I as well am in the Building stage for the 21 & the 45.

I also have the Scaled plans for the 67 but I'm not there yet. I'll try the 21 & the 45 first.

I think that the JAE Riggers are going to be hard to beat.

Just my 2 cents

I have heard folks talk of simply enlarging the plans, and building exactly from the templates. Is this safe to say for the 21, and 45 size boats. Also for those of you who have enlarged the plans soo far. what is the tub length for both the 21, and 45. ? and sponson width for each of those hulls, based on the jae.

Thanks

Enlarged plans by 125%. I am an electric boater and that size seemed perfect for me.

Tube lenght 28.3

I didn't see any spec for sponson width. I did read 1" somewhere in the build forum. So 1 1/4" seems reasonable.

With the rumors flying around about Zipkits making a .21 size I pretty much just stopped.
