It's almost not fair...wickedly fast in both the performance and good looks departments.

Benchmarks most of us working class heroes can only dream about.

Kudos again to Joerg for putting it ALL together.

While Joerg and Arne deserve plenty of praise for their winning rigger, to imply that only "rich" guys can go fast is simply untrue. Tim Higdon (a carpenter) used hobby shop wood and off-the-shelf parts to build his 24-cell record holder, which is just as fast as the much fancier and more costly boat Arne designed the previous year. If Tim had had the level of SAW experience that Joerg enjoyed last year, he certainly would have gone even faster. Don't dispair if you are not related to Donald Trump - you don't have to be to run fast. It does take dedication and focus - don't working class heros possess those characteristic? ;)

Gunnar made it it all go...so I hear...Joerg pulls the trigger and points it in the right direction. Gunnar deserves a lot more credit than he has gotten. He is the master that makes it sing at over 120 mph.

Don't get me wrong, Joerg is is certainly a dynamo but there is a difference. Sure it is a team effort but funny how the driver gets all the attention most of the time.

Gunnar wasn't at the SAWs in 2003; Arne is the boat's designer. Note that many of the photos of the winning boat include Arne in the pic. Joerg was the one who designed and hand built the super ESC which first broke 100 mph, and is now a production item. It is a true team effort, which is usually highlighted in the articles. JAG stands for Joerg, Arne and Gunnar, all are truly great guys and all deserve a lot of credit.

That was not the intended implication. "Working class heroes" was used as a reference to anyone working in the FE "trenches", regardless of how deep their pocket books are.

BTW, I am as impressed by a 4 cell boat clocking over 51 mph as I am by 32 cells flying at 120.
