How about these for a super easy set of sponsons for a SAW boat?

Marty,

There are plenty of different designs out on the market for float planes.

There are some that are around $40.00, but they are not filled with foam yet.

Lots Of Options Out There,

Hi Marty,

All of my floats have a shallow v-bottom and are really long ie: my floats on the 120 Ultra Stick are 47" long (wing span is 80").

Martin: pretty sure those pilots may want speed to take off the water and then find a long lake to land. Those bush pilots in BC could land on a postage stamp pond (they called a lake) and take off clipping pine trees with the floats on the "Beaver"!! Had to keep telling yourself to exhale-exhale etc.

Thanks, John

I have a set of sponsons I have bin messing with for some time. Thy look like two small v hulls with ride pads.

This may just make testing easer.

Interesting negative chines. Might help the turn around and getting them free of the surface tension...hmm
