Rules for skeg

I was wondering what the rule is for, sport 40 , on mounting the skeg . The skeg has to go through the bottom of the boat but can you mount the bracket to the transom?

Is there anything for the rudder?

Yes, the strut has to go through the hull and yes, the strut bracket can be mounted to the inside of the transom. No rules about the rudder. You can read the sport 40 rules in Section H of the IMPBA rule book, which is here: http://impba.net/fullpagerulebook.html

You're welcome. How's that boat coming along? Our first race is scheduled for April 15, is it going to be ready?

It's going good . I should be able to finish . I have to mount skeg , rudder . Finish radio box and controls then finish paint . Oh.. and alot of little things .

another ? , Does the drive dog have to be even with or hidden by the transom?
