Do you need to use 4.8 volts or 6.o volts ? I like Futaba Standard servo : S9156 ( MG) or Airtronics Standard servo :94358 (MG) for my 90 SGX " single " use LiFe 6.6v good enough very strong muscle

What are people using for a 90 hydro for torque on the rudder?

Thanks

Brad
A good friend of mine sent me (2) of the new Hitec standard size, metal gear, digital, programmable and water proof servos, 150 oz 4 cell, 170 oz 5 cell, hooked it up to my servo tester I built about 20 years ago, set servo to run stop to stop in the fast mode, in the water for 45 minutes, took servo out of water and ran same test again for 30 minutes, so far so good, one more test before I try it in a boat.

Still running the HS 805 MG always on 6 V or better (Life pack )in the Red twin . Crash survivability of the servo is important also when you back one in at 80 plus it takes a serious beating . I like dick jones servo tester idea !

love the LiFe packs...........

Yes when you slam it on the rudder that is the true test...............................

Also how well dose it center every time under heavy load......................

it's amazing how much power these new-generation "Hi-Torque" servo's generate (between 200 - 400 oz/in). Prices are way out there too ($100.00 to $200.00)

Gentleman...........The motor cost how much...? The Hull cost how much...? Your time to rig the boat is worth how much....? You are going to use Life batteries also...? You are willing to get the best equipment money can buy...

But you going to SKIMP on the servos after you have $1200.00 sitting on the table and it is not wet or running...???

$1200 X 3 but the 1/5 th scale servos are still bad ass !!

Tom I do have 1/5 in my twin....but its the Savox at 550oz on 7.4...by far the best control I have had. Matter a fact have full Savox in the twin and plan to do it again....
