What is a good rudder servo for a sport 40? Something that won't break the bank, but is reliable. I have a Futaba 3305 now.

What's wrong with the 3305? I use them for rudder servos on my scales & sport-40's,,, they work great

Right now I'm using the HT 645 MG but plan on trying one of the new Airtronics 192 Oz. Digital MG Std. size servos. #94851. Could be overkill but better to be the hammer than the nail. Bill Brant is a dealer(all rc) on this site.

3305 is a good one.. (I have that in my S40 now)

Good power and low price... not a bad little servo..

I have a Savox. Very inexpensive but I can't remember the number. 40 bucks for 100 oz of torque.

Thanks guys. Question answered. One thing I don't understand is why the 3305 and the 645mg have a plastic gear on the motor output shaft.

3305 should not have a plastic gear output shaft. Did you buy it used?

This is a new servo. If you look up the gear set, it has a plastic gear on the motor. So does mine. Never broken a gear. Just don't understand a plastic and metal gear combo.
