Rossi R80 Marino

I own a few brand-new Rossi R80 marine drum-valve engines, these were purchased in 1988.

Does anyone know whether the previous (earlier 1980's) disc-valve R80 piston/liner assy's cross-fit into the latter R80 drum-valve versions?

as far as it goes with rossi they all share the same cases 65-90 so they should.
