I'm looking for "racers" opinions on the Rossi Piranha. Things like what head clearance worked for you and timing number it comes stock and what numbers you had to use to be competitive if you were with this motor. Thanks.

I never messed with the head clearance much, just removed one shim.

A few things that I did learn. The pipe needs to be a little longer than normal, at least from my experience. They take a looooooooong time to break in, you'll go through a good gallon or more of fuel but every tankful it would start running better. It seems to like a larger than normal prop once you get it broken in. Mine is spinnig a Prather 220 with no trouble on a Speedmaster 21, Irwin quiet pipe at 8-1/2". Jim Irwin restricted the water flow on his to get a little more heat to the head, I'm not that brave.
