It's about the going rate, nothing to go crazy and think you got a steal! . I hate my Rossi, well the Rossi pipe that is. If you buy a Lawless lower end that's where it get's even more expensive.

If I remember right the Rossi, pipe and Lawless lower end package is about $500. If that's the case you can break it down as $175 for the lower end, $100 for the pipe, and $225 for the power head.

If you get the motor don't buy a Rossi Pipe.

Hey !!!!!!

I love my Rossi!!!!!! :-* :-*

I have it on the Lawless and an HTB pipe ( Thinking about an Irwin pro quiet pipe ).

The hardest thing is the break in. If you get the carb with the Third chn. MAKE SHURE IT IS TURNED OUT ONE TURN! durring break in.

;) The engine will turn props unlike other OB.

Try to spin a 52 X 70 with the K&B

Hi Guy's

I got a Rossi from this guy - he is Morris Hobbies - and is the authorised Rossi dealer in the US. They are brand new. The Rossi pipe is way to dear $100 - rather have an Irwin. Lawless lower $135, Irwin Pipe $75, Rossi $200 - adds up to a pretty reasonable price for all new gear.

Can't get over how tight the motor is though.

I guess i'll find out how mine goes shortly. If all else fails I found a NR shortstroke OB crank by Nelson & I have another option.

Will let people know how it goes.

GT ;D

ps. current list price on Rossi 21 OB powerhead is $310 although I'm sure you could get a better price from some of the other people. Oh that's right nobody else has any at the moment - I guess they can be even less then.

The rossi can be a great runner. That is a good price on the buy it now. I had great results with the Rossi pipe. I had to shim the stinger down, but I do that to the Irwin pipes too. The only real short fall I found with the Rossi was the cylinder head. For a sport motor this would be a great motor out of the box. If you want to race a little head work and these scream.

Hi Mark,

What sort of head work do you recommend? What about a Keeley turbo head? Have just got one for my Rossi 45 OB haven't tried it yet.

GT 8)

The combustion chamber was too big. I cut down a K&B button to fit. Worked great. I used an air cooled head instead of water cooled. I have also cut down an S.S. head to make a button for a Rossi inboard that worked very well.
