Good score on a new Hummingbird. Try to keep the radio equipment as far forward as you can. It helps with being able to launch more prop. If you need a jig for the rear sponsons let me know.

Dave, I would glue a solid piece of carbon inside the boom tube between the mounting holes. Then you can notch the boom tube to clear the carb bell.

ah, haa! that's how you guys notch the sponson boom for carb clearance? I was wondering how folks were doing this, thanks

You could go shorter on the stack or mill the top off the carb. should have an inch clearance to obstructions.
