Hi all,
Ive decided to get back into rc boats after a 20 to 25 year hiatus.
Things have certainly changed since i last laid my hands on a transmitter and i must say, ive noted a huge improvement in technology etc.
Its good to see the hobby is going forward in leaps and bounds....now all ive got to do is catch up.
Im not familiar with brushless stuff and ive decided to join the forum in hopes of aquiring the knowledge i need to upgrade a recent purchase.
Its nothing special, its the Heng Long Atlantic super yacht (70cm hull)...its a really nice looking, well detailed model for a cheaper boat (AU $120 including post).
Its only running twin 380 brushed motors which push it along at a reasonable rate (20km-ish) but i want to convert the whole thing to brushless and give her a boost.
Nothing radical, just a nice burst of power that puts a grin on your face : )
Ive got plenty of questions to ask about the conversion so i'll start a thread or two in hopes someone can help out.
Thanks for reading this far, looking forward to joining the community
Regards ET.
