I don't know if I have enough room for your bases Brother Don.

I have more room vertically than I do horizontally. That probably doesn’t make sense.

I'm thinking about pulling the needles that I have in my twin now and relocating non-3rd channel adjustable up front near the carbs. It's not that I have a problem with the way my current set up works I just hate all the tubing running back and forth.

The more I think about it I might be able to use your idea. I'll have to give it a look see.

Any others?

The new CMB engines, including the big blocks, come with a non-remote needle unit, and they work well. Stu or Bruce Jacobs should have them.

Buck,

I have used that exact OS needle for my 101RS motor without anyproblems, but on the big motors it only offers very fine adjustment. The remote needle that comes with the CMB motors has a much coarser pitch which allows for greater flow changes.

It could.

My only question is would it have sufficient flow for very thirsty motors. We all know how MAC motors like to drink.

Has anyone used these needles in a big engine boat?

OS lists it as acceptable for their 1.6 and 2.1 cu in 2 strokes, so one would think it can handle the fuel flow...

What are some options for non-radio controlled remote needle valves?

I use remote - non adjustables from the Webra .91 Speed , also the Enya 60 needle valves work great and have large orifices both are very tunable and not too fine , and not too coarse .....just right .
