Hey where do you get those remote needle valves(third channel mixture controls) from? You know the things I always read about where that usless third channel is used to fine tune the engine while running. Who makes them, where can you get them, do you need a specific one for your engine, etc? Do you just screw a control arm onto the end of the needle valve, is that enough travel? I would really like one for my picco 21. thanks

I use the ones made for the Kalistratov engines, they are cheap and don't leak. They are sold by Al Hobbs at [email protected]. For $16.00 they are the best priced around. To mount them I use an antenna mount from Aeromarine, a perfect fit for this one and others.

I don't know why you have to use a remote needle valve.

Don't the sell the horn there that will slide over the needle valve in your carb? That is what I use. It is held on with two grub nuts. and the linkage goes from the 3rd channel servo directly to the carb.

Hammer,

They do come with O.S engines but the remote ones work better.

The O.S inflight remote valve is very good - one of the best but a little bulky. I amusing the Bob Violet mixture control valve.

Tim.

we have ours made for us, they are perfect for twins as they all flow the same.
